The problem
Sonat needed a modern, user-friendly way for employees to reserve desks, meeting rooms and phone booths. Underneath the simple surface sat a complex set of rules about who can book what, for how long, and how far in advance.
What I built
A booking app where reserving a space takes a couple of taps, with the rules engine doing the hard work in the background. I owned the product end to end, including the UI design.
- Rule-based availability covering user groups, durations and booking windows.
- One codebase, shipped as a web app and as native apps on iOS and Android.
- Built to sell. The system was designed as the foundation for a commercial product that can be offered to other offices and companies.
