The product
Freepower is a Norwegian startup designing self-sufficient electric boats powered by solar panels. They needed a mobile app so users could control and navigate the boat from their phone.
What I built
A Flutter app that talks to the boat over Bluetooth Low Energy, with drift control, operational adjustments and live solar energy monitoring. I also worked on the Raspberry Pi side of the link and designed the UI in Figma.
- Bluetooth LE control of the boat’s systems from iOS and Android.
- Live energy dashboard showing solar input, consumption and range.
- Startup pace. Lead developer and lead designer, iterating quickly as the hardware evolved.
